Privacy Policy

PixelSqueeze compresses photos entirely on your device. We do not upload, collect, sell, or share your photos or personal data. The Android app has no Internet permission.
Information we collect
PixelSqueeze does not collect personal information, device identifiers, analytics, advertising data, diagnostics, or usage behavior. It does not use an account and does not operate a cloud image-processing service.
Photos and processing
Photos you choose are decoded and compressed locally on your device. They are never sent to PixelSqueeze or a third-party server. Exported images are newly encoded, which removes embedded metadata, including location metadata.
Local settings and optional history
The app stores format and appearance preferences locally. Compression history is off by default. If you enable it, up to 20 thumbnails and compression records are stored only in the app's local storage. You can delete individual records, clear all records, or turn history off. Clearing history does not delete photos you saved to your device.
Files, sharing, and permissions
PixelSqueeze accesses only photos you explicitly select. When you save a result, Android may request storage access on Android 9 or earlier. On newer Android versions, results are written using system storage APIs. When you choose Share, the app creates a temporary local cache file and requests Android's share sheet; that cache file is deleted when the share sheet closes. The receiving app is governed by its own privacy policy.
Advertising, analytics, and purchases
The current app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking SDK, or Firebase Android SDK. PixelSqueeze offers an optional Google Play one-time Pro purchase. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy; PixelSqueeze does not receive your full payment details.
Data sharing and retention
Because PixelSqueeze does not collect data, it does not sell or share user data and has no server-side user data to retain. Local app data remains on your device until you clear it, uninstall the app, or use Android's app-data controls. Saved output photos remain under your control.
Children
PixelSqueeze is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Security
The app's offline architecture minimizes exposure: it requests no Internet permission, performs image processing locally, removes metadata from outputs, and keeps optional history on-device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised policy and effective date will be published on this page. A material change to data practices will also be reflected in the app and its Google Play Data safety disclosures.
